Gregs Beer Bar FundraiserCome hang out at Gregs on Saturday, October 16, for the Pride of Indy Beer Bar fundraiser. Pride of Indy members will be your gracious bartenders on the back patio and all proceeds from the beer bar will go to support Pride of Indy Bands. We'll also be running a 50/50 raffle for those of you feeling lucky!
Bring your friends and have a great night hanging out with Pride of Indy Band members. We appreciate your support and thank Gregs for their continued contributions to keep us playing!
Pep Band to play at Indiana AIDS Walk & Ride 2010The Pride of Indy Pep Band will be playing at the Indiana AIDS Fund's yearly fundraiser, the Indiana AIDS Walk & Ride, on Saturday, October 9, at University Park in downtown Indianapolis. We'll get the crowd excited and their feet moving as they walk their way to support those with HIV/AIDS who need assistance with emergency shelter, utilities, food, medicine, and other daily living needs. Please join us in supporting this cause!
Fall ConcertJoin the Pride of Indy at their Fall Concert on October 24 at 3pm at the Garfield Park Arts Center.
We'll have an assortment of scary music to get you in the Halloween spirit.
All ages are welcome. Come join us!
We need YOU! Are you looking to use your musical talent in a fun environment that supports the community? Then you need to join Pride of Indy Bands! Even if you don't play an instrument, we welcome members into our Color Guard and other marching ensembles. Band Aides (volunteers) are always appreciated too- there's plenty of stuff we can put you to work at! Now is a GREAT time to join! We're working on our October concert. Come meet us August 15!Come hang out with members of Pride of Indy Bands at an informal mixer on Sunday, August 15, starting at 3pm, at the Metro Nightclub in at 707 Massachusetts Avenue in downtown Indianapolis.
If you're a current member of the band or color guard, a former member, interested in joining, or curious about supporting us, you're invited!
The Pride of Indy Jazz Ensemble will be playing while you enjoy complimentary appetizers- courtesy of The Word.
We look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones!
Gay Games Cologne 2010Two Pride of Indy Band members cheered on athletes in Cologne, Germany, at the Gay Games, July 31 through August 7. Eric Munsch (Saxophone) and Bob Stuper (Trumpet) joined other members of the Lesbian and Gay Band Association (LBGA) as they traveled to Europe for this historic event.

The July 15th Garfield Park Summer Series concert featuring the Pride of Indy Concert and Jazz Bands was canceled by Indy Parks due to rain. We apologize to all of our fans who missed out on us, but look forward to seeing you at our next performance.

Independence Day Celebration
Thanks for joining the Pride of Indy Concert Band on Sunday, June 27th, at
5:00 pm, at Broadway United
Methodist Church in a celebration of the United States of
America!
We got everyone into a patriotic spirit for America’s favorite holiday! After the concert, the fried chicken, provided by Broadway, was enjoyed by all.
POI Visual Ensemble Rocks Ohio's Rock Captial!
The Pride of Indy Visual Ensemble strut their
stuff in Cleveland as they lead Cleveland's Pride Parade on June 26. Six
members twirled their flags to crowd cheers and added color and sparkle
to the festivities.

and Visual Ensemble as we strut our stuff in the Circle City Pride Parade
on Saturday, June 12. The rain held off as me marched down Mass Avenue and Michigan Street for the crowds while energizing everyone with "Y. M. C. A." and "We're an American Band". We were awarded the Best Overall Entry in the parade by the judges- Simon Crookall
(President and CEO, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra), Bryan Fonesca (Producing Director, Phoenix Theater), Andi Hauser (Co-Host of Indy Style, WISH-TV 8), Nicole Misencik (Weekend Sunrise Meteorologist, WTHR-TV 13), and Petra Slinkard (Cultural Associate, Textile and Fashion Arts at the Indianapolis Museum of Art). 5th Anniversary Pride Concert - June 8Thanks for joining the Pride of Indy Concert & Jazz Bands on Tuesday, June 8, for the 5th Anniversary Pride Concert. We featured favorites from our past 5 years.
The rain didn't dampen our spirits, and we had a standing-room-only crowd inside the firehouse- we even had an audience listening to us in the rain outside of the building through the open doors!
Thanks for joining us for this annual Pride Week event, and we look forward to seeing more of you in 2010.
Spotlight on AIDS 2010
The Pride of Indy Jazz Ensemble performed at "Spotlight on AIDS 2010" to Benefit the Indiana AIDS Fund on Monday, May 10, at 7:30pm. Indianapolis's own Brenda Williams joined the Jazz Ensemble to sing out in support of this worthy cause.

Naptown Roller Girls!
The Pride of Indy Pep Band cheered the Naptown Roller
Girls to victory at their bout on Saturday, April 17!
The Pride of Indy Pep Band performed as the halftime entertainment for the Naptown Roller Girls' Tornado Sirens game at the Pepsi Coliseum on the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
We're glad to end the NRG home season with a victory and look forward to next year! More information on the Naptown Roller Girls is available at naptownrollergirls.com.
